    In July 2023, the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) released its 10th Global Rights Index. The report paints a grim picture of workers’ rights around the globe. According to ITUC, Europe is no longer a bastion of workers’ rights.

    ILO Office for Central and Eastern Europe will also serve Georgia

    At the request of the Georgian ILO constituents the ILO Office for Central and Eastern Europe will support Georgia as of July 2023. Georgia has sought political and economic integration in the European Union since joining the Eastern Partnership in 2009. The country applied for candidate status in 2022 after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Georgian constituents want to access the experiences on EU accession from peer countries of the sub region (e.g. Western Balkan, Moldova, Ukraine).
