Conference: Decent work for migrant domestic workers

The European Commission's Directorate-General for International cooperation and Development and the International Labour Organization warmly invite you to a Lunchtime conference on Decent work for migrant domestic workers.

According to a recent report, worldwide, an estimated 11.5 million people, 75% of whom are women, earn their living as migrant domestic workers. They often do not have access to social protection and labour rights, and are particularly vulnerable to exploitation and abuse.

Since 2013, a Global Action Programme, led by the International Labour Organization (ILO) with support from the European Commission, seeks to promote the human and labour rights of migrant domestic workers worldwide by developing and strengthening national labour laws, migration policies and recruitment regulations.

The European Commission's Directorate-General for International cooperation and Development and the ILO are pleased to invite you to a lunchtime conference on Thursday 30 June, from 12.30 to 14.00, which will discuss the results of this action. Register now
