    This project concentrates on the progressive elimination of the worst forms of child labour in Lebanon with a specific focus on the North and the Bekaa governorates.

  3. Strengthening Information and Access to Employment for Palestinian Refugees in Lebanon

    1 January 2009 - 31 December 2011, Lebanon

    The project aims to enhance employment opportunities for unemployed and underemployed Lebanese and Palestinian refugees’ workers.

  4. Recovery of Nahr el Bared surrounding Lebanese communities affected by 2006 and 2007 conflicts

    1 January 2010 - 31 December 2011, Lebanon

    The development objective of the project is to promote the social cohesion through restoring and improving livelihoods in 28 communities in the North of Lebanon.

  5. Sheikha Fatima Vocational Rehabilitation Centre Project for People with Disabilities and Youth with Special Needs

    1 January 2008 - 1 December 2011, Occupied Palestinian Territory

    This project aims to provide the needed technical and administrative equipments and support to the Sheikha Fatima Vocational Rehabilitation Centre in Khalil area; whereby these administrative and training units will start to provide the vocational rehabilitation services.

  1. Enhancing Local Employment, Skills and Enterprises in Nahr el Bared, Lebanon

    1 January 2008 - 31 December 2010, Nahr al-Bared - Lebanon

    The objective of this project is to reduce poverty amongst Nahr al-Bared residents by providing better access to employment, self-employment and training opportunities.

  2. Skills development, employment services and local economic recovery for the construction sector in South Lebanon

    1 January 2008 - 31 December 2010, Lebanon

    This project contributes to employment generation and the social and economic recovery of South Lebanon by providing employment-oriented accelerated modular skills training programmes for priority jobs in the construction sector; and by offering institutional capacity building measures and interventions to support small business development.

  3. Capacity Development of the Federation of Palestinian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (FPCCIA) - Inception Phase

    1 January - 31 December 2010, Sheikha Fatima Vocational Rehabilitation Centre, Hebron, West Bank

    The development objective of the project is to foster sustainable and inclusive private sector development in the oPt.

  4. Implementing and enforcing internationally recognized labour rights in Oman and Bahrain

    1 January 2006 - 31 December 2010, Lebanon

    This project contributes to the development of a functioning labour inspection system and tripartite structures with independent labour and employer structures that reflect the core labour standards embodied in the 1998 declaration of Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.

  5. Enhancing Labour Inspection Effectiveness in the Arab States

    1 January 2009 - 31 December 2010, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen and Oman

    This project contributes to the long-term socio-economic development of participating countries by strengthening social dialogue and improving compliance with labour legislation, while promoting social justice and decent work, which will ultimately enhance productivity and employment.
