ILO Workshop on the Job Description of Labour Ministry Social Workers in Lebanon

A workshop to discuss the draft job description of social workers recently appointed by the Ministry of Labour in Lebanon.

BEIRUT - Within the framework of the European Union funded project Promoting Rights of Women Domestic Workers (PROWD), the International Labour Organization will conduct a workshop to discuss the draft job description of social workers recently appointed by the Ministry of Labour (MoL) in Lebanon.

The aim of the workshop will be to gather the input of international experts, non-governmental organizations and public officials in order to finalize job descriptions for social workers appointed by the MoL to provide support to domestic workers and mediate between workers and employers in cases of conflict.

The workshop will also be attended by key staff from MoL, social workers from the Ministry of Social Affairs and NGOs that provide services to migrant domestic workers.
