Parents of working children in Iraq attend ILO vocational training to learn new skills
The ILO in Iraq is providing vocational training sessions in sewing, electric installation and haircutting for parents and caregivers of working children to improve their skills and employability in efforts to reduce the pressure on their children to work.
The initiative is part of efforts to tackle the worst forms of child labour amongst IDPs, refugees, and vulnerable host communities in Iraq , with the support of the European Regional Development and Protection Programme for Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq (RDPP II).
