In Jordan, the ILO works to achieve women’s inclusion and active participation in the labour market through various programmes and partnerships that promote better livelihood opportunities. With the support of donors such as the US State Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM), several partnerships with local implementing partners served Syrian and Jordanian vulnerable women. Through the project “Formalizing Access to the Legal Labour Market for Refugees and Host Communities in Jordan,” the ILO provided women with skills development training, seed funding for small and micro businesses, and facilitation of decent job opportunities.
