  1. Consultation meeting on inter-agency toolkit on child labour in emergencies

    Under the Patronage of Lebanon’s Ministry of Labour, the ILO and Plan International hold a first-of-its-kind workshop for the Arab Region, to orient national and regional governmental and non-governmental organizations on how to tackle child labour in emergency situations.

    Within the framework of the ILO Project on the “Role of Employers Organizations in Decent and Sustainable Job Creation in the Agro-Food sector”, the ILO and the Association of Lebanese Industrialists hold a round table meeting for national stakeholders in the Agriculture and Agro-food Industries and Cooperatives in Lebanon.

  5. Evaluating Labour Market Programmes: Policy Forum & Executive Course

    2 - 6 July 2017

    As part of ILO’s partnership with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the IFAD financed project “Strengthening gender monitoring and evaluation in rural employment in the Near East and North Africa”, a Policy Forum and Executive Course on Evaluating Labour Market Programmes was offered between the 2nd and 6th of July 2017 in Amman, Jordan. The course was co-financed by the OECD Development Centre, the International Initiative for Impact Evaluation, GIZ and the Economic Research Forum.

  1. ILO donates items to Beirut shelter for disadvantaged and working street children

    The ILO Regional Office for Arab States will donate items to the Home of Hope, a non-profit organization that shelters and cares for homeless, disadvantaged and working street children. The donation will help the shelter and the children it cares for meet some of their basic needs and carry out essential functions.
