2022

  1. Improving China’s Institutional Capacity towards Universal Social Protection

    1 July 2019 - 31 December 2022

    The project is funded by the European Union under the EU’s Partnership Instrument “EU-China Cooperation on Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion.”

  2. Extending Social Protection to Herders with Enhanced Shock Responsiveness

    1 February 2020 - 31 January 2022

    Acknowledging high risks herders and rural children faced in being left behind, this UN Joint Programme (UNJP) seeks to support national authorities and provincial governments, in closing the social protection gaps for this population, with a particular concern on its role in reducing their vulnerabilities to poverty and extreme climate change. The ILO, FAO, UNFPA and UNICEF in Mongolia, under the leadership of the UN Resident Coordinator of Mongolia will work closely with the Government of Mongolia, social partners and other relevant stakeholders. The programme results will primarily contribute in achievement of SDG 1.3, 1.5 and 13.1.

2016

  1. Promoting and Building Social Protection and Employment Services for Vulnerable Groups (MAPS)

    1 January 2014 - 31 December 2016

    Learning from the ASEAN unemployment protection project, this phase II project seeks to build and improve the existing systems of social protection, income security, and employment services for unemployed and underemployed workers in ASEAN countries and Mongolia.

2011

  1. Reducing HIV Related Employment Discrimination in China

    1 January - 31 December 2011

    This programme will work closely with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security to review HIV related policy documents and identify policies with discrimination and explore possibilities for policy revision. The project will work with Non-Government Organizations to build the capacity of people living with HIV (PLHIV) groups to address employment discrimination issues, strengthen capacity of legal aid centers to provide pro bono legal counseling and support for people with HIV to claim their rights to employment.

  2. Strengthen Gender Responsiveness of National HIV Strategy

    1 October 2010 - 31 December 2011

    This project will identify vulnerabilities of female migrants in Guangdong Province and develop an evidenced informed strategy to improve gender equity, access to sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and reproductive health (RH) and legal aid services on employment rights and sexual harassment among female migrant workers in Guangdong by partnership with local family planning association and the Global Fund Project China office.
