  4. ILO-ITC-COMPAS Training course on China - EU Labour Migration: Challenges and Opportunities

    20 - 23 June 2016

    A training course for Chinese policy makers, organised by the ILO Office for China and Mongolia in cooperation with the ESRC Centre on Migration, Policy and Society (COMPAS) at the University of Oxford, and the International Training Centre of the ILO (ITCILO).

  5. Dissemination Workshop: Improving Linkages between Employment Promotion, Social Protection, Business and Skills Development in Rural Areas

    The workshop is jointly organized by the ILO MAPS project and the Ministry of Labour in Ulaanbaatar with focus on disseminating experiences of the pilot Rural programmes to promote decent work and social protection.

  6. Seminar on Media and Disability Advocacy – Promotion of Positive Media Reporting on Persons with Disabilities

    7 - 8 June 2016

    With the support of UNESCO, ILO and Handicap International, One Plus One Beijing Disabled Persons’ Cultural Development Center and Inclusion China jointly organize the seminar. Participants discuss and exchange how media and communication can contribute to restoring positive images of persons with disabilities through positive reporting, in order to promote disability rights and the inclusion of people with disabilities in the society.

  8. ILO-UNIDO Workshop on Decent Work (the MNE Declaration) and Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) in Global Supply Chains

    This workshop is one of the key consultations in preparation for a discussion on Decent Work in Global Supply Chains at the 105th International Labour Conference. It aims to improve understanding about the capacity-building needs of stakeholders, and areas for future cooperation in support of sustainable supply chains.

  9. Understanding issues and challenges in Mongolian wage system and practice in the coal mining and cement manufacturing sectors

    29 March - 1 April 2016

    The workshop is the first step of understanding the current wage practice towards developing a new job-based wage scale in the mining and cement manufacturing sector in Mongolia. It will aim to develop a wage scale that can realize the principle of equal wage for work of equal value.

  10. Workshop for Labour Inspectors on Industrial Accident and Acute Poisoning Reporting System

    28 - 29 March 2016

    The Government of Mongolia approved a regulation on "Reviewing and registering industrial accidents and acute poisoning" in 2015, and with the support of the ILO, it has developed a sofware programme for registering and reviewing industrial accident and acute poinsoning cases. Objective of the training is to train 56 labour inspectors from Ulaanbaatar city and 21 aimags on collecting data and analysis. The industrial accident and acute poisoning information will be published in National Statistics magazine and website on quarterly basis.
