  1. ILO/CMTU Meeting on International Labour Standards Concerning Violence and Harassment at Work

    26 June 2020

    This online meeting aims at presenting ILO Convention (No. 190), 2019 and accompanying Recommendation (No.206) to the Mongolian tripartite partners and other stakeholders. This activity is supported by the ILO/EU project “Sustaining GSP-Plus Status by Strengthened National Capacities to Improve ILS Compliance and Reporting-Mongolia Phase 2”.

  2. Book launch: "Still Work to be Done"

    In this book, Luc Cortebeeck examines the future of work: how can we eliminate child labour and exploitation?How do we make governments ans multinationals respect all workers in supply chains? How will we work in the post-coronavirus world? These are some questions that Luc Cortebeeck tried to respond in this book which is a plea for effective international social regulations and a strong ILO as cornerstone for social progress.

  3. ILO Webinar on COVID-19: Stimulating the Economy and Employment​ in Asia and Pacific

    The lockdown measures have sparked an unprecedented economic crisis in most countries around the world. “Jobs-led” and “human centred” economic policies have become increasingly important and necessary in the COVID-19 crisis and recovery response. The ILO Policy Framework on COVID-19 Crisis based on International Labour Standards identified out four (4) pillars to fight the crisis and one of which is the pillar on “Stimulating the Economy and Employment”. This webinar, part of the ACTRAV Webinar Series 2.0 will explore how economic and employment policies (in particular active labour market policies) can support workers and sectors in the Asia Pacific region to promote employment growth and more decent work on the road to recovery.

  4. ILO/MLSP Online Meeting on Labour Dispute Resolution System in Mongolia

    With the support of the ILO Office for China and Mongolia and ITC-ILO, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection (MLSP) is hosting an online meeting on labour dispute resolution system in Mongolia. This meeting is taking place in the framework of the ILO Distance course on dispute resolution system for Mongolia for 25 May-03 July 2020. It is supported by the ILO RBSA project on Promoting Formal Employment for Inclusive and Diversified Economic Growth in Mongolia.

  5. The First Steering Committee Meeting of UN Joint Programme on Extending Social Protection to Herders with Enhanced Shock Responsiveness

    The United Nations in Mongolia, in close cooperation with Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Mongolia has organized the first Steering Committee Meeting of the UN Joint Programme on Extending Social Protection to Herders with Enhanced Shock Responsiveness, on May 28, 2020. The Steering committee has endorsed the project implementation structure and the workplan.

  6. Distance Course on Dispute Resolution System for Mongolia

    25 May - 3 July 2020

    At the request of the ILO Office for China and Mongolia, ITC-ILO has developed this course on dispute resolution system for the Mongolian tripartite partners, namely the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection (MLSP), the Confederation of Mongolian Trade Unions (CMTU) and the Mongolian Employers’ Federation (MONEF). It is part of the ILO effort to promote effective dispute resolution systems and support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal No 16 on access to justice. The course is supported by the ILO RBSA project on Promoting Formal Employment for Inclusive and Diversified Economic Growth in Mongolia.

  7. CMTU Training Workshop on OSH Legislation for Trade Union Officials and Representatives

    23 - 24 January 2020

    This is a follow-up to the CMTU lawyers’ training that was held on 23-24 October 2019. It aims at improving capacity of trade union officials and representatives to provide basic advice on the national occupational safety and health legislation to workers and union members, especially those in the informal economy. The training workshop is supported by the RBSA project on Promoting Formal Employment for Inclusive and Diversified Economic Growth in Mongolia (MNG/18/01/RBS).

  8. 3-R Training of Trainers and Validation Workshop

    8 - 14 January 2020

    Within the framework of the EU-funded project on Sustaining GSP-Plus Status by Strengthened National Capacities to Improve ILS Compliance and Reporting-Mongolia Phase 2 (MNG/17/50/EUR), the Authority for Family, Child and Youth Development (AFCYD) will organize a training of trainers on 3-R Kit: Empowerment for Children, Youth and Families: Rights, Responsibilities and Representation (TOT) and Validation Workshop.

    The Confederation of Mongolian Trade Unions (CMTU) and its affiliate –the Construction Workers’ Trade Union are organizing this training for members-tower crane operators to improve their understanding of employment contracts. The training is supported by the ILO RBSA project “Formal Employment Is Promoted for Inclusive and Diversified Economic Growth in Mongolia”.
