    International labour standards (ILS) adopted by the International Labour Organization (ILO) are important tools for the development of national legislation. However, the contribution of international labour law is not limited to its impact on labour legislation. ILS can also contribute to strengthening domestic case law on labour matters.

  2. Youth discusses employment challenges they face amidst COVID-19 pandemic

    Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Mongolia (MLSP) and Junior Chamber International Mongolia (JCI Mongolia) are organizing a three-day event to discuss challenges of young people facing in labour market amidst pandemic. The event is organized under the auspices of the Prime Minister of Mongolia.

  1. Workshop Discussion on Impacts of IMF Extended Fund Facility Programme on Mongolia's Labour Market

    17 November 2017

    The workshop conference will bring together policymakers, representatives of employers’ and workers’ organizations, development partners, ILO staff and others to discuss progress on the Economic Recovery Program (ERP) with a view of fostering policy coordination; present and discuss the preliminary results of an ILO-commissioned study assessing the potential impacts of the ERP reform measures on the labour market; and identify future steps to support the Government of Mongolia in ensuring an inclusive economic recovery.

  1. Workshop on Promoting Decent Work in Global Supply Chains

    The workshop is jointly organized by the ILO and China Chamber of Commerce of Metals, Minerals & Chemical Importers & Exporters (CCCMC) on 22 November 2016 in Beijing, China to discuss decent work challenges and practices and sustainable supply chains, including a particular session on the mining sector.
