Workshop on Labour Disputes and Settlement for members of tripartite committees in Mongolia

On June 13, ILO and the Ministry for Labour and Social Protection of Mongolia jointly organized a one-day workshop on Labour Disputes and Settlement targeting members of tripartite committees in Mongolia at the “Tuushin” hotel as part of the ILO’s "Trade for Decent Work" project funded by the European Union.

The workshop was facilitated by Alimaa Baasansuren, Director of the Employment Relations Policy Implementation and Coordination Department, Ministry for Labour and Social Protection of Mongolia, Youngmo Yoon, ILO Senior Specialist in Social Dialogue and Industrial Relations, and Benedicto Ernesto, ILO consultant, together with a national team: B. Urantsetseg and G. Solongo.

Members of tripartite committees from nine aimags, including Bayankhongor, Bayan-Ulgii, Zavkhan, Sukhbaatar, Umnugovi and Arkhangai came to Ulaanbaatar to attend the workshop. They were able to gain important theoretical knowledge on resolving labour disputes, practice by working on dispute cases within teams, and learn how to implement the newly revised Labour Law of Mongolia.
