New services for MSEs in the informal economy

ILO/MONEF Training Workshop on Facilitation

This is a part of the MONEF’s roll-out of the ILO In Business training programme within the ILO project on Promoting formal employment for inclusive and diversified economic growth in Mongolia” (MNG/18/01/RBS).

The Mongolian Employers’ Federation (MONEF) is rolling out the ILO In Business programme to assist micro and small business units in the informal economy.

The programme uses an activity-based, facilitated group learning methodology to reduce the time, resource and capacity constraints the face more traditional training offers. The facilitator of the In Business programme is not a traditional trainer or subject matter expert, but a facilitator is to guide and motivate the process of knowledge sharing among participants and to support understanding of the instructions for participants to put their new knowledge into practice. It is a new method of training for the Mongolian market, therefore it is important to ensure that facilitators and brand ambassadors have skills to manage activity-based group learning methods, both in person and online. Facilitators of the training will not only deliver the services, but to promote IN BUSINESS as brand ambassadors and to provide information and referral to other opportunities for services and support.
