ILO/MONEF Validation Workshop of the Toolkit for SME Disaster Resilience in Mongolia

In this validation workshop SMEs and private sector representatives will have the opportunity to test the new tools that are specifically designed for SMEs in Mongolia. The toolkit aims to build their resilience in the face of disasters in order to ensure business continuity.

ILO/MONEF workshop
As a follow up on a high level meeting on “Public-Private Strategies for Disaster Resilience and Mitigation of Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs)”, jointly conducted by the Mongolian Employers’ Federation (MONEF), International Labour Organization (ILO) and United Nations for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR), in April 2017, the ILO and UNISDR developed a disaster resilience toolkit for SMEs. This toolkit is a set of practical tools that aims to strengthen SMEs’ preparedness and resilience to disasters. It is expected that in the future, MONEF would facilitate training on these disaster resilience tools to SMEs so as to increase their ability to adapt to disruptions, maintain enterprise operations, and protect people, assets and reputation. However, prior to disseminating the toolkit, a workshop to test and validate these tools will be conducted with Mongolian private sector representatives.
