    The ILO Office for China and Mongolia (ILO) and the International Cooperation and Rescue Department of Ministry of Emergency Management of the People’s Republic of China (MEM) signed an implementation agreement on Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprises (SCORE) programme in Beijing on March 26 2020. It indicates that SCORE programme cooperation will continue to October 2021 in China.

  1. The ILO sign with the China Enterprise Confederation for implementing SCORE project

    22 October 2018

    On 22 October 2018, the Consulting and Training Centre of the China Enterprise Confederation (CEC) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) sealing their cooperation on the promotion of for the joint implementation of the Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprises project (SCORE) over the period 2018 to 2020.

  2. Decent work in global supply chains: MoU signed between China and the ILO

    The global supply chain is a universal way of organizing investment, production and trade in the world economy. The ILO-China cooperation on promoting decent work in global supply chains will focus on ensuring compliance and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers.

  3. SCORE Project Scalling up in Zhejiang Province

    The ILO, the National Centre for International Cooperation in Work Safety (NCICS), and Zhejiang Administration of Work Safety (Zhejiang AWS), jointly launched a pilot training project in Zhejiang Ningbo on 17 May 2018. The project forms part of the Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprises (ILO SCORE) Programme.

  1. SCORE Mid-Term Review (MTR) Workshop in Beijing Fangshan Successfully Accomplished

    The MTR workshop reviewed SCORE progress in Fangshan after completing SCORE Training on Module One-Workplace Cooperation and called on pushing forward SCORE Training on Module Five- Safety and Health at Work in next stage.

  2. Scaling up SCORE Training in Huzhou-The Mid-term Workshop on Learning and Experience Sharing

    Under the strategic partnership with State Administration and Work Safety (SAWS), Huzhou kicked off its SCORE Project in March 2017 and more than 50 enterprises started the SCORE training and factory walk-through improvement consultation. The Huzhou SCORE Project mid-term workshop on learning and experience sharing was organized on 15 Nov. 2017 in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province to promote information sharing and facilitate experience learning.

  3. A new milestone: ILO-SAWS SCORE Project expanded to Beijing

    SCORE project in China achieved a new landmark. SAWS announced kicking off the project in Fangshan District today. “Occupational Safety and Health is a core mandate of the ILO. Securing the safety and health of workers in their workplaces is central to the ILO’s decent work agenda and the UN 2030 sustainable development goals“ said Nancy Leppink, Chief, Labour Administration, Labour Inspection, and Occupational Safety and Health Branch of the International Labour Organization (ILO) in the launching ceremony.

    On 9 March 2017, the ILO and SAWS jointly carried out the workshop on ILO-SAWS SCORE Piloting Program Mid-term Review in Deqing County, Zhejiang Province. 80 representatives from the national and local SAWS, local government officials, participating factories and other stakeholders attended the event. Ambitious goal has been set during the meeting that 500 Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Zhejiang Province will be reached and carry out SCORE Project in the coming years.

  6. ILO and ETI to aid SMEs in Guangdong that supply international brands

    On 15 March 2017, the ILO Office for China and Mongolia and Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) launched a project to improve the productivity, competiveness and sustainability of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, under the ILO’s Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprises or SCORE program.

2016

  1. Scope and potential of China-EU labour mobility and protection of migrant workers’ rights explored among Chinese policy makers and practitioners at ILO workshop in Nanjing

    The workshop drew on the studies conducted under the Support to EU-China Dialogue on Migration and Mobility Project and other ILO initiatives covering China-EU Labour Migration Scope and Potential, Recruitment Costs, Complaint Mechanism Assessment, and Attracting and Retaining Foreign Skilled Workers in China. The workshop provided an exchange platform for participants from relevant government departments, private sector and civil society to interact with international and national experts and practitioners on labour migration manage-ment and relevant issues. A regional and sectoral focus demonstrated the good practices and potential for enhanced China-EU labour migration and move-ments. Evidence-based policy advice was provided to China and EU authorities to further improve migration management and maximize the development out-come for all parties concerned.
