The Government in China has indicated that it wishes to review the policy objectives beyond the elimination of extreme poverty in rural areas, as this milestone is expected to be achieved in 2020. The more ambitious goals of curbing relative poverty nationally raise important technical questions for social assistance and social insurance programs. This podcast with Profs.
