  5. Training on Work Improvement for High‐Rise Building (WILCON)for engineers and OSH officials of Board of Engineer Cambodia (BEC).

    ILO/Japan project on Enhancing OSH Standards in Construction Sector is going to organize two training sessions on “Training of OSH focusing on high‐rise buildings” for engineers and OSH officials of the Board of Engineer Cambodia (BEC).Two training workshops on Work Improvement for High‐Rise Building (WILCON) will be held on 08 July 2022 and 12 August 2022 in Phnom Penh Hotel, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

  6. World Day for Safety and Health 2022 in Cambodia

    This is organized with the purpose to deliver the message on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) knowledge and awareness raising on OSH risks and accidents to workers from all sectors. It is also celebrated to get higher attention by the ILO’s constituents (government, employer’s and worker’s organizations) to address the issues related to OSH risks and accidents and better improving OSH conditions for a better protection to workers. This year 2022, the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DoSH) of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MoLVT) is planning to celebrate this World Day for Safety and Health event on 05 July 2022 under the theme: “Act together to build a positive safety and health culture” at the PoLVT space in Siem Reap province, which will be presided over by the Minister of MoLVT.

    The report of the ILO on “A just energy transition in Southeast Asia: The impact of coal phase-out on jobs” will be launched as a hybrid side event on 24 May 2022 conducted on site in the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok and on an online platform via Zoom. The launch will be part of the seventy-eighth session of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).
