    CEBAI trainees successfully placed in industry

    30 August 2015,

    The Centre of Excellence for the Bangladesh Apparel Industry (CEBAI) has successfully placed its first batch of 30 trainees into different RMG enterprises following their completion of the nationally recognised Sewing Machine Operator Level One course. Training for another 30 is currently underway.

    Efforts launched to combat child labour in Punjab’s brick kilns

    The ILO in Pakistan in collaboration with the Government of Punjab launched an enrolment campaign of Brick Kiln workers children into the educational system. Under this campaign government of Punjab will provide free education, school bags and books to the brick kiln children enrolled to schools.

    Roll out of Entrepreneurship Training underway - Know About Business

    As part of its mandate, ILO is promoting entrepreneurship and business education among poor rural masses for improving their Human Security in Sindh Province. A total of 26 women and men were trained as KAB-Facilitators on ‘Know About Business’ training module. These trainers would further reach out to 500 prospective entrepreneurs with support of the Livelihood Restoration Project.

    Vanuatu Trade Unions: Building Back Better

    Members of the Vanuatu Council of Trade Unions (VCTU) participated in workshop facilitated by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and funded by the Government of Japan, through the Social Safety Net Project.
