  1. ILO/ASEAN Seminar on Strengthening Social Protection in ASEAN

    4 - 5 July 2019

    The Promoting and building social protection in Asia (3rd phase): Extending social security coverage in ASEAN will organize a seminar to share the comments and endorsements with the SLOM Working Group and ASEAN tripartite partners of the Expanding social protection to workers in informal employment in ASEAN report together with the Old-Age income security in ASEAN Member States: A vision of key policy concepts, trends, challenges and opportunities.

    All stakeholders and the public at large are getting together to celebrate ILO 100 years and to acknowledge the collaborative achievements on the employment and labour issues in the country

  2. Project Self-evaluation and Good Practice Documentation

    27 June 2019

    The working group is aimed to enhance the capacity of both trade unions and employers in understanding national law and international labour standards in the employment contract.

  3. Launch of the National Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Profile 2018 and Seminar on Young Workers’ Protection

    The event is aimed to increase the knowledge of young people in OSH and strengthen national dialogue on OSH in support of stronger workplace prevention culture.

  4. Promoting Quality Apprenticeship and Industries - Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) Partnership on Quality Skills Development

    Trade union organizations have significant roles in educating and protect their members on HIV prevention and related stigma and discrimination. A significant role can be taken by trade union in increasing the knowledge on HIV/AIDS among members by implementing HIV/AIDS prevention programme.

  6. Private Sector Meet Up Event 2019: Empowering Female Youth Though ICT Skills

    The event objective is to better understand the latest trends and recruitment needs in ICT-related skills and jobs in the different industries and to gauge possible collaborations between the ILO, selected private sector firms and the government training center of BBPLK Bekasi.

  7. Benchmarking Exercise in Bricklaying/Masonry/Plastering Skill Area in Lao PDR

    17 - 19 June 2019

    ILO, through the ILO/Korea Partnership Programme, and in collaboration with Cambodia’s Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, organizes the benchmarking exercises of national competency and skills standards, assessment and certification mechanisms in the following skills area: ‘bricklaying, masonry, plastering’ and ‘building electrical wiring’. This effort attends to the MRS pilot implementation in ASEAN.

  10. Charting a future for decent work in supply chains in Thailand: experiences from the automotive and food sectors

    As a side event for the upcoming Responsible Business and Human Rights Forum, the ILO, in collaboration with Employers’ Confederation of Thailand and the Sustainability and Entrepreneurship Center of Sasin School of Management, is co-hosting a discussion in the context of work of the “Responsible Supply Chains in Asia” (RSCA) programme, a joint partnership between the EU, ILO and OECD.

    The Responsible Business and Human Rights Forum (#RBHR Forum) is a multi-stakeholder event addressing an array of priority issues under the Responsible Business Conduct and Business and Human Rights agendas. It is part of the Bangkok Business and Human Rights Week.

    The ILO Country Office for India in collaboration with the Labour Department, Government of Kerala convened a tripartite training on social dialogue and tripartism at the Hotel S.P. Grandays, Thampanoor, Thiruvananthapuram.

  2. Inter-Regional Knowledge-Sharing Forum on Child Labour and Working Conditions in ASGM

    28 - 30 May 2019

    The International Labour Organization's CARING Gold Mining Project, funded by the U.S. Department of Labor, will host the first-ever Inter-Regional Knowledge-Sharing Forum to discuss issues on child labour and working conditions in artisanal and small-scale gold mining (ASGM) on 28-30 May 2019.

  3. Workshop on Strengthening Capacity and Coordination on Prevention and Investigation of Trafficking in Persons for Forced Labour

    27 - 28 May 2019

    This workshop is held to improve mutual understanding and facilitate effective cooperation and referrals between labour inspectors and criminal law enforcers in investigating labour rights abuses including trafficking in persons.

  4. Thailand: Peer learning on socially responsible business practices in the poultry sector

    24 May 2019

    The ILO, in collaboration with Employers’ Confederation of Thailand (ECOT), Thai Broiler Processing Exporters Association, Thai Poultry Veterinary Association and Thai Feed Mill Association is co-hosting a forum on peer learning on socially responsible business practices in the poultry sector.
