  1. Project Advisory Committee (PAC) Meeting 2022, Lao PDR

    Tripartite Constituents of Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare of Lao PDR, Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Lao Federation of Trade Union convened a Project Advisory Committee Meeting of ILO/China Partnership Programme on 2 February 2022 at Lao Plaza Hotel, Vientiane Capital, Lao PDR.

  1. Policy dialogue on fair foreign employment process and good practices of migrant workers in Baluchistan

    25 February 2022

    The ILO’s Project “Governance of Labour Migration in South and South East Asia” (GOALS) funded by Swiss Development Cooperation (SDC) in collaboration with Ministry of Overseas Pakistani and Human Resources Development (MOP&HRD) and Department of Labour Baluchistan and with its constituents, will organize a policy dialogue in Quetta to identify the pathways to promote fair recruitment for foreign migrant workers and minimize the role of subagents/intermediaries in foreign employment recruitment in Pakistan. The participants will deliberate on the key challenges, encountered by Pakistani migrant workers during foreign employment process and discuss other related policy recommendations.

  2. BBJS Project Advisory Committee Mobilizes Interdisciplinary Knowledge Management System

    The Bringing Back Jobs Safely Project Advisory Committee (PAC), in its second meeting on 24 February 2022, agreed to set in motion three working groups. Co-chaired by DOLE Assistant Secretary Dominique Tutay and DICT Assistant Secretary Alvin Navarro. The PAC also noted and thanked the Government of Japan for the approval of the project’s no-cost extension and expansion of coverage to Metro Manila-based small and informal businesses affected by the pandemic.

  6. Three Country OSH Training Workshop for Plantation Sector - Introduction and Application of Training Methodologies

    The workshop will introduce application methodologies such as Work Improvement in Neighbourhood Development (WIND) and Work Improvement in Small Enterprises (WISE) for the sector.

  7. TOT in Hospitality and Tourism Sector in Cambodia Successfully Initiated

    In collaboration with Ministry of Tourism in Cambodia, ILO/China Partnership Programme initiated a Training of Trainers Programme on Food and Beverage Services from 21 - 26 February 2022 in Siem Reap Province of Cambodia.

  9. The 2nd Project Advisory Committee meeting for the Young Futuremakers Thailand-Promoting Youth Employability Project 2021-2022

    The Second Project Advisory Committee meeting of the Young Futuremakers Thailand-Promoting Youth Employability Project was organized by the ILO at the United Nations Conference Centre on the 21st February 2022. The project is financially supported by the Standard Chartered Foundation under its Futuremakers by Standard Chartered initiative.

  11. Consultative meeting with the Small Tea Growers on Promoting Occupational Safety and Health in the Workplace

    The project "Safety + Health for all plantation workers in South Asia: India Component" organized a meeting with the Employers and Membership Based Organizations (EMBOs) on 23 July 2021. As a follow up, a consultative meeting is planned with the small tea growers associations of Assam on 18 February 2022 (virtually) to promote occupational health and safety for the tea plantation workers in the small holdings of the state and to discuss the way forward in collaboration with the project of ILO.

  12. Panel discussion and report launch: Digital innovations in social health protection for India

    The ILO project “Technical support to ESIS for improving and expanding access to health care services in India – A transition to formality” supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), is organizing a panel discussion to launch its report on “Digital innovations in Social Health Protection for India”.
