ILO’s TRIANGLE in ASEAN programme is organizing an event for International Migrants Day with the theme “Towards stronger and resilient communities through effective protection the Rights of All Migrant Workers”.
The event builds the capacity of labour organizations and CSOs and raises awareness of migrant workers to be able to make informed decisions on migration. Reaching the general public, the event also promotes decent work for domestic workers and migrant workers in all sectors.
Finally, the event launches ILO’s new report Lessons learned: Building migrant women’s groups and networks. The vibrant migrant women’s groups supported during 2022 are pleased to share their experiences with the hope that more migrant women will be able to build resilience through starting their own groups and be able to collectively address the inequalities, stigma and exploitation that migrant women currently face.
