World Day Against Child Labour

Thai Frozen Foods Association members commit to the elimination of child labour in the industry. The association will launch a policy aimed to encourage responsible business practices and promote conditions of work that provide a safe and motivating working environment that is free of child labour and uphold and promote national labour laws and relevant international labour standards. The launch will be on the occasion of World Day Against Child Labour which this year focuses on Human Rights and Social Justice. Let's end Child Labour!

This year of World Day Against Child Labour will provide a spotlight on the right of all children to be protected from child labour and from other violations of fundamental human rights. In 2010 the international community adopted a Roadmap for achieving the elimination of the worst forms of child labour by 2016, which stresses that child labour is an impediment to children's rights and a barrier to development. The Thai Frozen Food Association has already taken a step in making the roadmap a reality by committing to encourage responsible business practices and motivating workplaces that are free of child labour.
