  1. Key achievements and highlights of the Young Futuremakers Thailand - Promoting Youth Employability project.

    With the support of the Standard Chartered Foundation, the ILO delivered the “Young Futuremakers Thailand - Promoting Youth Employability” project from February 2021 - April 2022. The project supported disadvantaged youth, through the provision of technical skills and employability training, and employment services. The project's geographical focus was Bangkok and the provinces of Rayong, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya and Nakhon Ratchasima.

  2. Happy International Sign Language Day

    Mingluck Wichancharoentham, a young Thai with a hearing impairment, wants to show people that persons with disabilities are capable and have great potential.

  3. Increasing the possibilities for my future

    Panupong Mitpitak, a Thai youth with a hearing impairment, participated in the “Barista” training course in Bangkok. The training course, organized by the Young Futuremakers Thailand Project, was delivered to 20 young persons with hearing impairments at the Thungmahamek School for the Deaf.

  4. We are just like everyone else

    Arpasara Sutdamriwong joined the “Barber” training course organized by the Young Futuremakers Thailand project supported by the Standard Chartered Foundation. The course was delivered to 20 young people with hearing impairments (aged 15 -24) at the Thungmahamek School for the Deaf in Bangkok.

  5. Opening my own barber shop would be the dream

    Jarupat Iphasuk is a Thai youth with a hearing impairment who participated in the ILO’s “Barber” training course. The course was organized by the Standard Chartered Foundation-funded Young Futuremakers Thailand—Promoting Youth Employability project.

  6. Measuring labour market transitions of youths in Thailand: Evidence from rotation groups (2012–21) in the Labour Force Surveys

    This study analysed data covering a full decade of Thai economic activity. It is critical to recognize just how much has changed in the country over the intervening decade. Demographic change has resulted in overall population decline as well as a reduction in the number of people entering the labour force.

    New EU-UN ‘PROTECT’ project supports women migrant workers and children in Southeast Asia

    A new initiative launched by the European Union (EU) and the United Nations (UN) will help strengthen the rights of women migrant workers and children in Southeast Asia, while reducing their vulnerabilities.
