ILO - Singapore partnership programme implemented on the cooperation programme on OSH in Brunei Darussalam
ILO and Singapore (Ministry of Manpower (MOM)) have identified Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) as a key area of cooperation, and recently jointly implemented in support to Brunei Darussalam in her development of a National OSH Profile through a triangular South-South cooperation arrangement.
Fourth Tripartite Regional Seminar on Industrial Relations in the ASEAN Region: "Setting Minimum Wage and Wage Guidelines: Role of Tripartite Partners and Impact on Industrial Relations"

This tripartite regional seminar, organized by the ILO with the support of the Ministry of Labour of Thailand and the ASEAN Secretariat, under the theme "Setting Minimum Wage and Wage Guidelines: Role of Tripartite Partners and Impact on Industrial Relations", aims to provide opportunities for ASEAN member states (tripartite) to discuss and share experiences on different mechanisms/processes in setting national minimum wage as well as wage guidelines; and role of tripartite partners in the context of good industrial relations practices. The seminar is funded by the ILO/Japan Multi-bilateral Programme through its ASEAN-ILO/Japan Industrial Relations for ASEAN Integration project.
Mrs Sachiko Yamamoto, ILO Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific and the Regional Partnerships, Resource Mobilization and UN Reform (RPAR) team visited Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam, along with the concerned senior specialists on workers and employers’ organizations. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen cooperation with both countries and to introduce the new ILO field structure.
This data set for 9 countries in the East and South East Asian region provides information on labour market and decent work indicators. It covers 11 thematic areas including employment opportunities, earnings, productivity, working children, equal opportunities, safety at work, social security and social dialogue. The available data relate to the period 1995 to 2008. Beginning with countries in East Asia the formats were then used to create statistical profiles for ASEAN countries for the ASEAN-ILO-ADBI Capacity-Building Workshop on Labour Market Information and Analysis in ASEAN (Brunei Darussalam, March 2-4 2010). Since then the profiles have been developed further with additional information in both quantitative and qualitative aspects of decent work. Based mainly on ILO sources such as LABORSTA and KILM, and the World Bank's and UNESCO's data, this dataset aims to be user-friendly and easily accessible to anyone interested in the promotion of decent work. In this first instance it was not possible to cover all countries in the region, but the dataset could be expanded to cover a larger number of countries in the future.

The report presents an update in major trends in employment and social conditions and looks ahead to 2015 with informed projections, likely scenarios and their policy implications.
