    Both ACE and ATUC have acknowledged the value of holding this joint meeting between ATUC and ACE to address emerging issues, build trust and put forward common positions to the ASEAN Committee on the Implementation of the Declaration on the Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Migrant Workers (ACMW) and Senior Labour Officials Meeting (SLOM).

    The widespread adoption of internet and mobile technologies has transformed the global economy along with the way people live and work. It has also significantly changed how governments manage and deliver public services, including in the field of labour inspection (LI).

  3. Policy Brief Issue No. 2: Strengthening Post-arrival Orientation Programs for Migrant Workers in ASEAN

    Post-arrival Orientation Programmes include structured orientation programmes facilitated by the host countries or embassies and consulates of sending countries to the migrant workers upon their arrival at the destination countries. These programs may be delivered by governments, workers’ organizations, employers, civil society organization, or a combination of these key stakeholders. Post-arrival orientations reinforce and contextualize pre-departure orientation training.
