  1. Conference of Trade Union Educators: Strengthening Trade Unions through Sustained Trade Union Education

    The two day conference of sixty (60) trade union educators will discuss on various trade union issues, priorities and strategies of strengthening trade unions through trade union education in Nepal. The conference is a follow-up action of basic trade union education campaigns of All Nepal Federation of Trade Unions (ANTUF), General Federation of Nepalese Trade Unions (GEFONT) and Nepal Trade Union Congress - Independent (NTUC-I). Under this campaign they have organized more than twenty two-day trade union education programmes for their local leaders throughout Nepal. The conference will share the experiences of the trainers, discuss on issues and target groups of regular education and remedies of sustained education programmes in Nepal.

  1. Training-of-Trainers on Interest Based Negotiations and Joint Problem Solving with Employer and Union Partners

    The Promoting Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work in Bangladesh Project (FPRW) held two separate training-of-trainer (ToT) courses on Interest Based Negotiations and Joint Problem Solving (IBN) with resource persons and trainers from the project’s employer association and union organization partners. The ToT courses are the second on-the-ground components of the FPRW cooperative programs with the US Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS).

  1. Report of the ILO/Trade Union National Conference

    The conference was held at Inter-Continental Hotel, Phnom Penh Cambodia during 27-28 June 2012. It aimed to address workers' deep concerns on the widespread use of Fixed Duration Contracts (FDC) in Cambodia undermining labour rights and trade union rights; to strengthen union unity and solidarity among local, provincial and national unions for bringing changes in the system; to adopt a plan of action for a nationwide campaign for safer employment conditions and relations.
