1. Training of Trainers Workshops on Child Labour

   The workshop aims at contributing to the Government’s efforts to eliminate child labour through raising awareness and enhancing knowledge on child labour issues for provincial stakeholders and project provincial implementers in combating child labour. It is also to equip potential resource trainers in Dong Nai province with knowledge on child labour and basic training skills for them to deliver training on the issue in the provinces.

2. Training of Trainers Workshop on SCREAM

   The workshop aims at promoting extensive use of SCREAM Education Pack through training and motivation of the widest range of possible potential users in different educational and social contexts. It is also to raise awareness of child labour and children’s rights among a motivated and mobilized community of users.

3. Project Management Training for Implementing Agencies

   At the end of the training, ILO's implementing agencies shall have: (a) deepened their understanding and know-how of ILO's financial and technical reporting requirements; (b) strengthened their planning and implementation skills in relation to their respective action programmes; (c) acquired project management techniques to help them facilitate implementation, monitoring, and control of their activities and work plans; and (d) prepared detailed individual agency work plans and a joint work plan with information on tasks, planned/actual start and finish dates, planned and actual work, etc.

4. Direct Beneficiaries Monitoring and Reporting Training for Implementing Agencies

   To enable the selected implementing agencies to effectively and efficiently implement their action programmes with particular attention being paid to high quality data on the direct beneficiaries, the project team has requested support to organize a workshop on Direct Beneficiaries Monitoring and Reporting (DBMR) for its partners to prepare them for the action programme implementation, monitoring, and reporting.

5. Tripartite Technical Workshop on Skills for Trade and Economic Diversification (STED)

   An ILO Workshop on “Tripartite Workshop on Skills for Trade and Economic Diversification (STED)” was held on 8 September 2011 at Chilis Chinese Restaurant in Dhaka. The workshop intended to share the preliminary findings on skill demands for current and future needs of two important export sectors: agro-processing and pharmaceuticals industry.

6. Technical Vocational Training for Youth in Bondoc Peninsula

   The Inter-agency Programme to Nurture Peace, Security and Decent Work through Local Development in Conflict Areas of the Philippines (Bondoc LED) seeks to contribute in addressing short-term and long-term skills deficiency in the country-side by implementing technical-vocational skills training in collaboration with Quezon National Agricultural School (QNAS) and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). The training is aimed at providing skills to the youth to help them in finding employment opportunities or starting their own business. The training is in partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Auhority, Quezon National Agricultural School.

7. Users Training on Child Labour Knowledge Sharing System (CLKSS) for the Provincial Child Labour Committees

   The establishment of a multi-level functional system on child labour is one of the strategy directions under the Philippine Program Against Child Labor (PPACL) Strategic Framework for 2007-2015. The IPEC Programme, through its strategy on knowledge management, will build the capacities of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), National Child Labor Committee (NCLC), and other relevant government agencies and social partners has helped develop a system that would facilitate the utilization of data especially in support of national and local child labour policy development and programme design, implementation, and evaluation. This system is what we call the Child Labour Knowledge Sharing System (CLKSS).

8. Unveiling of Commemorative Marker of Birthing Station in Unisan, Quezon

   The Inter-agency Programme to Nurture Peace, Security and Decent Work through Local Development in Conflict Areas of the Philippines (Bondoc LED) identified maternal and child health care as a support component to pursue and ensure long-term economic productivity in Bondoc Peninsula. The event will officially unveil the commemorative marker of a birthing station in Unisan, Quezon.

9. Turn-over Ceremony of Birthing Station

   Turn-over of the birthing station constructed in Mulanay, Quezon. The Inter-agency Programme to Nurture Peace, Security and Decent Work through Local Development in Conflict Areas of the Philippines (Bondoc LED) supports upgrade, renovation or construction of birthing stations; training of midwives and Barangay Health Workers on Maternal and Child Health Care (MCHC) and provision of basic equipment for the birthing stations to improve access to better health facilities by mothers and children in the area. The support is a contribution of the project to the Philippine Government’s effort to reduce the infant mortality and improve maternal and child health care under its commitment to the Millennium Development Goal for 2015.
