“More and Better Jobs for Women Programme” – PHASE II

SECTORIAL AND PRIORITY AREAS

Phase II focuses on selected sectors including textiles, commerce and office, food, general services and metal, identified considering the sex composition of workers by sector. Some of the activities will have special target on improvement of working conditions of domestic workers and home workers.

Phase II will also address various topics such as; prevention of violence and harassment in the world of work, gender pay gap, reconciling work-life balance and women’s leadership under two interrelated objectives with different partners.

PROJECTS

PROJECT: “PROMOTING WOMEN’S ACCESS TO MORE AND BETTER JOBS”

Key Partner: İŞKUR

Outcome: National Action Plan (NAP) and Local Action Plans (LAP) on Women’s Employment effectively implemented and monitored.

Outputs:

Output 1 – Technical capacity of İŞKUR increased on a) gender sensitive employment services, b) advocacy skills; c) result based management approach

Output 2 – The results-based monitoring framework in place and operational for the National Action Plan (NAP) and Local Action Plans (LAPs) on Women’s Employment through social dialogue practices

Output 3 – The implementation of the NAP and LAPs supported though piloting of gender-responsive Active Labour Market Policies(ALMPs)

PROJECT: “PROMOTING GENDER RESPONSIVE EMPLOYMENT POLICIES”

Key Partner: General Directorate of Labour, Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services

Outcome: Measures for decent work conditions of women (special focus given to gender pay gap, prevention of violence and harassment in the world of work, reconciling work-life balance and women’s leadership) adopted and implemented by the General Directorate of Labour of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services

Outputs: Strengthened technical capacity of the General Directorate of Labour of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services on gender sensitive employment policies and coalition-building to promote improving decent work conditions for women

PROJECT: “DECENT WORK FOR WOMEN AND WORKERS’ AND EMPLOYERS’ ORGANIZATIONS”

Key Partners: Workers’ and Employers’ Organizations

Outcome: Measures for decent work conditions of women (special focus given to gender pay gap, gender based violence at work place, reconciling work-life balance and women’s leadership) adopted and implemented by social partners

Output: Enhanced capacity and mechanisms of workers and employers organizations for gender equality in metal, food, commerce and office, textile and general services and also the ones organised in domestic and home based work. Women workers’ voices and priorities reflected to the collective negotiation and bargaining process as well as to the decison making mechanisms of worker and employer organisations.

PROJECT: “IMPROVING GENDER EQUALITY AT ENTERPRISES”

Key Partners: Enterprises

Outcome: Measures for decent work conditions of women (special focus given to right to equal voice and participation, inclusive employment, gender pay gap, gender based violence at workplace, reconciling work-life balance and women’s leadership) adopted and implemented by pilot enterprises.

Output: Improved working conditions of women in model enterprises

PROJECT: “MULTI-LATERAL COOPERATION FOR GENDER EQUALITY IN THE WORLD OF WORK”

Outcome: Measures for decent work conditions of women (special focus given to gender pay gap, gender based violence at work place, reconciling work-life balance and women’s leadership) adopted and implemented by the public and local authorities, the social partners, CSO’s, academy and by pilot enterprises

Output: Increased knowledge and awareness on gender equality among the main stakeholders in the world of work to develop appropriate interventions for improving decent working conditions of women in the pilot provinces through preparation and dissemination of the comprehensive and up-to-date resources on the gender related topics such as gender pay gap, gender based violence at work place, reconciling work-life balance and women’s leadership.</</
