Show must go on!

The series of podcasts organized jointly by ILO and UNDP Turkey Offices continue to address creative industries and performing arts.

This week’s episode will feature Ms. Iraz Yöntem, Chair of the Board of Directors of Theatre Cooperative, who will talk about the impact of COVID-19 on creative industries, current status of private theatre as employers, legislative deficiencies, need for new definition and status, digital transformation, comparison against global examples, state of financial support mechanisms for the sector. It will be a highly interactive “must not miss” session.

The podcast will run from 24 February Wednesday 16.00 hours on UNDP Turkey’s Instagram account.

ILO and UNDP have since November 2020 been organising joint workshops and podcasts on the impact of COVID-19 on various sectors. All activities are carried out by and under two projects, namely the “COVID-19 Resilience and Response” Project implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with funding from the Government of Japan, and the Project “Decent Work Opportunities for Refugees and Host Communities in Turkey” implemented by the International Labour Organization (ILO) with funding from the US Department of State, Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (USPRM).
