ILO Provides Training Support to SGK Experts

The Training on Formal Employment and Social Security Practices for Foreigners under Temporary Protection and International Protection in Turkey was delivered to SGK experts by a team of lecturers from the General Directorates of Social Security, International Labour Force and Migration Management led by Prof. Dr. Oğuz Karadeniz of Pamukkale University to enhance the understanding of and compliance with Law on International Labour Force, Law on Work Permits for Foreigners, and Law on Foreigners and International Protection, and assess the impact of COVID-19 and responsive measures in the context of social security with a view to strengthening institutional capacities.

The training undertaken aimed to strengthen the capacities of public institutions to implement inclusive labour market policies that protects the labour rights of Syrians under Temporary Protection (SuTPs) and International Protection (IPs) in Turkey under the Refugee Response Programme implemented by the ILO Office for Turkey since 2015.
