SADA Women’s Cooperative Opens Stand at Sanko Shopping Centre

SADA Women’s Cooperative, supported and operating under the Project “Strengthening the Resilience of Syrian Women and Girls” being implemented by the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women (UN Women) with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and Association for Solidarity with Asylum-Seekers and Migrants (ASAM) as implementing partners, opened a stand at Sanko Shopping Centre in Gaziantep.

At the event “Women’s Cooperative Day” organised by Gaziantep Provincial Directorate of Trade under the “Protocol on Cooperation for Strengthening Women’s Cooperatives”, three women’s cooperatives based in Gaziantep had the opportunity to display their products at the shopping centre on 16 August 2019. The stand will be on for 10 days where SADA Women’s Cooperative will continue to feature delicacies from Aleppo kitchen, and textile and leather products. Stands immediately became a centre of attention by the visitors of the shopping centre, where women of SADA had the opportunity both to publicise their cooperative and display and market their products. The event “Women’s Cooperative Day” will on through 25 August while women from SADA Women’s Cooperative will continue to have visitors taste delicacies from Aleppo kitchen and display the Cooperative’s products.
