SADA Women’s Cooperative Opens Stand at Syrian Bazaar Event

SADA Women’s Cooperative, supported and operating under the Project “Strengthening the Resilience of Syrian Women and Girls” being implemented by the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women (UN Women) with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and Association for Solidarity with Asylum-Seekers and Migrants (ASAM) as implementing partners, participated in the event “Your Bazaar” organised by Bousla and Syrian Forum.

At the bazaar event held at Gaziantep Ugur Plaza on 20 July 2019 to make Syrian enterprises more visible in the sector, SADA Women’s Cooperative opened three stands to display and share its products with visitors. The cooperative presented, to the taste of visitors at the stands, its cloth bags, keyholders, business cards from its shoe-upping workshop as well as dolma (leave-wraps), stuffed meatballs and cookies of Aleppo and Gaziantep kitchens from its kitchen workshop. Also displayed and sold were cloth bags, beach bags and makeup bags of various designs and motives from the home textiles workshop. The event lasted a full day where the cooperative partners had the opportunity to meet Syrian firms and entrepreneurs.
