Training links to current labour market needs and transforms into formal jobs

ILO’s Work-Based Learning Programme links training to current labour market needs as well as anticipate and build competencies for the jobs to match the workers. WBL is implemented in six cities across Türkiye with seven implementing partners and incorporates skills needed in the job market for young people and expand access to formal employment. Through WBL, Syrian and Turkish women and men are better equipped to work in the formal economy and improve livelihoods.

Work Based Learning Programme is implemented under the project “Promoting Decent Work for Syrians under Temporary Protection and Turkish Citizens”, financed by the Federal Republic of Germany through the KfW Development Bank and implemented by the International Labour Organization (ILO) Office for Turkey, in coordination with the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.
