Social protection to realize people’s full potential: Transition to Formality Programme (KIGEP)

Decent work is a driver of sustainable development: Decent work is about improving productivity and protecting and empowering everyone to achieve a sustainable world. Decent work flourishes in productive and sustainable enterprises: To create productive, sustained and inclusive economies, we need decent work. In the last three years, the Programme assisted 20,000 employees to achieve or maintain social security and over 2,000 employers have been supported both with administrative and financial means.

KIGEP is implemented under the project “Promoting Decent Work for Syrians under Temporary Protection and Turkish Citizens ”, financed by the Federal Republic of Germany through the KfW Development Bank and implemented by the International Labour Organization (ILO) Office for Turkey, in coordination with the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.

The Project “Supporting Resilience and Social Cohesion with Decent Livelihood Opportunities” funded by the US Department of State, Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (USPRM) provides partial support to the KIGEP.
