Focus on Motorcycle Couriers: Psychosocial Risk Analysis In Delivery Sector Employees

With the COVID-19 pandemic, which started in Wuhan, China, in December 2019 and affected the whole world, we witnessed how the work and workforce changed. As defined by the World Health Organization, the pandemic has brought tremendous innovation and uncertainty to our lives. This situation has made changes compulsory for many sectors while making the importance of employee well-being and the value of workplace policies on these issues more visible with the changes in working styles.

This report, prepared with a focus on motorcycle couriers, analyses the psychosocial risks arising from the content and context of work in the delivery sector. And also offers suggestions for the re-evaluation of the motorcycle courier profession, which has become more visible with the pandemic, based on “decent work”.
