Titled “Impact of COVID-19 on Unemployment of Rural Youth and Young Women”, this round of the workshop will feature subject-matter experts as speakers, and host the youth for opportunities of voicing their views and issues.

Scheduled for two hours, the meeting will analyse the current situation, then present the Assessment of Overall Situation of Youth in the Labour Market, and the main findings of the report “Youth and COVID-19: Access to Decent Work in Pandemic Times” by ILO.

The workshop will hold discussions on the roles of young men and women, feature stories from various sectors, and conclude with assessment by the participating youth.

The joint series of workshops is organised by and under two projects, namely the “COVID-19 Resilience and Response” Project implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with funding from the Government of Japan, and the Project “Decent Work Opportunities for Refugees and Host Communities in Turkey” implemented by the International Labour Organization (ILO) with funding from the US Department of State, Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (USPRM).
