The event served as a forum to test staff’s knowledge on HIV and AIDS facts and the most knowledgeable group received a prize. Cutting the cake, lighting the candles and forming the AIDS ribbon were among the activities that made staff appreciate the achievements in the HIV response and to be prepared to face the challenge. Mr. Musindo reminded staff to share information about HIV and AIDS within the ILO, the community and in their families. He added that the ILO is committed to protect the rights of people living with HIV, including the right to work and the ILO premises should be free of stigma and discrimination. Staff members of Dar es Salaam Office welcomed the event given that it was the first time for the Office to mark World AIDS Day in such a memorable manner.
