The TREE of life: Skills for Youth Employment and Rural Development Programme

The ILO’s TREE (Training for Rural Economic Empowerment) and Quality Improvement in Informal Apprenticeship (QIA) methodologies have been successfully implemented in about half of Zimbabwe’s 75 districts. Over 10,000 young men and women have benefitted from the roll out making them self or wage employed. In addition, around 1,500 master craftspersons are graduates of QIA with their income predicted to increase by 10% from baseline.
