Joint Programme for Gender Equality in Zimbabwe

The ILO Country Office for Zimbabwe and Namibia is contributing to the implementation of the United Nations Joint Programme for Gender Equality (JPGE), a SIDA funded three year programme with UN Women and UNDP. The ILO component focuses on women’s economic empowerment and working conditions. The lives of 290 economically disadvantaged women selected from five districts of Chivi, Gutu, Murewa, Mutoko and Nyanga districts of Zimbabwe’s are changing through agriculture projects.
