An ILO-Women's Entrepreneurship Development (WED) training for future ILO-WED assessors in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda was held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania from April 10 -12.

International training course on labour based technology in roadworks for Somali engineers
25 March 2013
Between 30th January - 25 March 2013 a three month labour based technology training was held for 9 Somali engineers in Mbeya, Tanzania. The ILO, Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Appropriate Technology Training Institute (ATTI) supported this training course which focused on road rehabilitation and road maintenance.

Ethiopia and ILO sign an MOU to support Domestic Migrant Workers to the Gulf States, Lebanon and Sudan

The Government of Ethiopia and the International Labour Organization (ILO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Addis Ababa to implement an EU-funded project designed to develop a tripartite framework for the support and protection of Ethiopian women domestic migrant workers to the GCC States (Gulf Cooperation Council which includes Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait), Lebanon and Sudan.
