  6. Europe and Central Asia: Regional launch event of the International Journal of Labour Research

    The ILO’s Bureau for Workers’ Activities (ACTRAV) organized a high-level regional launch of the International Journal of Labour Research on 12th July 2021. “COVID-19 and Recovery: The Role of Trade Unions in Building Forward Better” and associated materials is launched during a panel discussions which bring together authors, researchers , academics, ILO representatives and leaders from trade union s in Europe and Central Asia.

  7. 2021 Virtual Zambia Social Protection Week

    The Government of the Republic of Zambia in collaboration with the United Nations in Zambia is, for the fourth time, hosting the Zambia Social Protection Week (ZSPW) under the theme “Responsive Social Protection in a Changing World”. The 2021 Virtual Zambia Social Protection Week is a public event, that brings together Government, Social Partners, Cooperating Partners, Civil Society Organizations, Social Security institutions, Academia, Faith Based Organizations, Parliamentarians, Media and most importantly the general public to be informed, discuss and contribute to the development of Social Protection in Zambia.

  9. Africa marked the World Day Against Child Labour in Africa and the Day of the African Child!

    The African Union, ILO and UNICEF held a virtual Continental event to mark the World Day against Child Labour. The event brought together key actors, who discussed strategies to address child labour, taking a holistic and systemic approach based on the 2020 Global Estimates on Child Labour and related recommendations, which had been launched by the ILO and UNICEF on 10 June.

  10. ILO Online Course on ''Monitoring and Evaluation of Youth Employment Programmes"

    The International Labour Organization (ILO) in partnership with the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) is organising an online training course intended to capacitate participants to develop and implement results measurement plans for youth employment programmes and contribute to the monitoring and evaluation framework of the Nigerian Youth Employment Action Plan (NIYEAP).
