  1. Atelier de capitalisation et durabilité des résultats clés du programme THAMM en Tunisie, 4 octobre 2023

    Le programme THAMM, financé par le Fonds fiduciaire d’urgence de l’Union européenne pour l’Afrique (EUTF) et co-financé par le ministère fédéral allemand de la coopération économique et du développement (BMZ), a organisé le 4 octobre 2023 son atelier de capitalisation et durabilité de ses résultats en Tunisie.

  2. FAIRWAY Migrant Resource Center Symposium

    The International Labour Organization (ILO), through the FAIRWAY programme convened a symposium on Migrant Resource Centres (MRCs) that brought together participants from three African countries of origin: Uganda, Kenya, and Nigeria. The central theme of the symposium revolved around enhancing the effectiveness of MRCs in providing access to information and essential services for both potential and in-service migrant workers, as well as the families they leave behind.

    A course on social protection statistics kicked off today in Praia, Cabo Verde, bringing together members of the Interinstitutional Working Groups on Social Protection Statistics (GITEPS) from Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, and São Tomé and Príncipe.

  5. Ministry of Economy and Finance of Mozambique hosts innovative MOZMOD training in partnership with ILO and UNU-WIDER

    The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) of Mozambique, under the leadership of the National Direction of Economic and Development Policies (DNPED), is organizing a training centred around MOZMOD, the tax-benefit microsimulation model for Mozambique. This activity is taking place from 22 to 24 August 2023 in Boane District, Maputo Province, in collaboration with the ILO and UNU-WIDER.

  6. Training on the 19th ICLS Resolution on Employment and Labour Underutilization and the 20th ICLS Resolution on Work Relationship and Labour Migration for Tanzania

    Regional meeting on "Women in Mining: women for a more inclusive mining future in Africa"

    17 - 19 July 2023

    The ILO Regional Office for Africa (ROAF) and the Sectoral Policies Department (SECTOR) are jointly organizing a regional meeting on “Women in Mining: women for a more inclusive mining future in Africa”, in Dakar, Senegal, from 17 to 19 July 2023. The meeting aims to generate consensus and support for concrete actions to promote gender equality and decent work for women, and address the challenges they face in large and small-scale mining in Africa.
