    On the occasion of the Emergency Meeting on the Horn of Africa, organized by the FAO, the Director of the ILO Office for Italy and San Marino delivered an ILO official statement on the strategies to cope the crisis in the region, with the three objectives of creating employment opportunities; reducing vulnerability and establishing a social protection floor; improving governance. The statement also urges: “this Meeting to recognize and act upon the important role of productive and decent employment in the international response”.
