SCORE HoCo Programme kicks off in Ghana

Under the ILO Project "Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprises (SCORE) " , a programme focusing on the Hospitality sector in Ghana Hospitality Coaching (HoCo) has been designed to address sector deficits and tap into the huge opportunities that exist in the Ghanaian economy.

The hospitality sector in Ghana is on a growth trajectory and enjoying a buoyant economic era. However, the sector is reeling under poor practices that are making it uncompetitive. SCORE Hospitality Coaching (HoCo) has been designed to address these deficits and tap into the huge opportunities that exist in the Ghanaian economy.

As part of the HoCo programme, a Training of Trainers workshop that has been designed to build the capacities of selected trainers to offer services to the sector, kicks off from the 2nd to 5th of July, 2019 in Accra. This workshop will be closely followed by a set of activities, all aimed at fully rolling out HoCo in Ghana. They are, baseline assessment coaching session, classroom training, discussion of baseline assessment results and strategy development for Training of Enterprises, Training of Enterprises (ToE) and first enterprise visit coaching sessions.

The training will be facilitated by an international consultant with a huge expertise in improvement of the hospitality sector.

The programme is being sponsored by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), Switzerland and Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD), Norway.
