Comoros: Confederation of Workers of the Comoros call on the Government to ratify ILO Convention No. 102

The Confederation of Workers of the Comoros (CWC) invited the Comoros Government to ratify ILO Convention No. 102 on Social Security (Minimum Standards).

Moroni, 28 February 2012 (ACTRAV INFO)-The Confederation of Workers of Comoros (CWC) invites the Comoros government to ratify the ILO Convention 102 on Social Security (Minimum Standards).

This invitation was launched after the seminar organized by the CWC for its members on "Social security-the role of social partners”, in Moroni on 28 February 2012 with the support of the ILO’s Bureau for Workers' Activities (ILO-ACTRAV).

In their recommendations, the participants also called on the Comoros Government to encourage social dialogue with social partners in respect of tripartism.

The training seminar was led by Mr. Ben Said Insa Dia, an ACTRAV Senior Specialist in Workers’ Education, in collaboration with the Director General of Labour and Employment of the Comoros, Mr. Nadi Omar and Mr. Salim Soulaimana, new Secretary General of the CWC, elected after the Congress in February 2012.
