Gender: Trade Union Confederation of the Americas (TUCA)’ Training for Worker Facilitators on the ILO Participatory Gender Audit(PGA)

San José, 16 December 2011(ACTRAV INFO)-The Bureau for Workers’ Activities (ACTRAV), together with the Bureau for Gender Equality of ILO and TUCA, held a joint Americas Regional Training for Worker Facilitators on the ILO Participatory Gender Audit(PGA), in San José (Costa Rica), from 12 to 16 December 2011.

The ILO Participatory Gender Audit (PGA) is a tool and a process based on an interactive methodology to enhance organizational learning at the individual, work unit and organizational levels on how to practically and effectively promote gender equality.

Worker facilitators from Central and Latin America and the Caribbean have been trained in this workshop which is main objective is to make further contributions to the collective capacity of trade unions to enhance gender equality and women’s representation within trade unions in the Americas.
