  1. First phase of training for trade unions project implemented in Uzbekistan

    The first seminar in a series of similar events provided for in the advanced training of trainers project for trade unions in Uzbekistan was successfully completed in the country on 24 – 30 November. This project is part of the Decent Work Agenda for the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2014 – 2016, agreed upon between the International Labour Organization and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

  1. ILO constituents endorsed national OSH profile “Labour Protection in the Republic of Kazakhstan”

    On 22 October 2015, ILO representatives took part in a tripartite round table meeting at the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where the national OSH profile “Labour Protection in the Republic of Kazakhstan” was formally launched. The document has been prepared in cooperation with the ILO Decent Work Technical Support Team and Country Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, based on the ILO’s methodological guidance.

    Workers'delegates attending this year's International Labour Conference in Geneva have called on the UN's International Labour Organization(ILO) urgently to send a needs assessment mission to Iraq to determine what forms of technical support and assistance the ILO can properly provide in the rehabilitation and reconstruction programme.
