On behalf of African Workers, Francis Atwoli expresses the workers expectations from the summit "Ouagadougou + 10", the African Union Extraordinary Summit on Employment, Poverty Eradication and Inclusive Development (September 2014). As vice president of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC-Africa) and President of the Organization of African Trade Unions Unity, Mr. Atwoli delivered his speech on Thursday 5th June 2014 during the tripartite information session on "Ouagadougou + 10, chaired by Guy Ryder, Director-General of the International Labour Organization.

Africa needs more sustainable jobs for youth who represent the majority of African population, says Francis Atwoli, the newly elected president of African Trade Unions Unity (OATUU) and vice president of the global International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC). In this interview, Atwoli gives his views about the role of unions in helping young workers in Africa. As Secretary General of the Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU-Kenya), Atwoli also discusses workers’ complaints in his country.
