Events and meetings

One of ACTRAV’s main events is the bi-annual International Workers’ Symposium. This is a meeting gathering trade unionists and other specialists from all over the world to discuss a given topic.

In addition ACTRAV organizes other events, meetings and workshops, both at headquarters and in the field, focusing on the areas of activities of the bureau.

ACTRAV is at the service of workers representatives as they participate in different meetings at the ILO. Colleagues do also assist in preparing case files that will help worker representatives develop their positions and arguments for the Annual Conference of the ILO, the Governing Body, regional and sectoral conferences and in the Office's various activities.

  1. Book launch: "Still Work to be Done"

    In this book, Luc Cortebeeck examines the future of work: how can we eliminate child labour and exploitation?How do we make governments ans multinationals respect all workers in supply chains? How will we work in the post-coronavirus world? These are some questions that Luc Cortebeeck tried to respond in this book which is a plea for effective international social regulations and a strong ILO as cornerstone for social progress.

  1. Visiting Scholar at the ILO: Expression of Interest until 7th January 2011

    The International Labour Office, the secretariat of the International Labour Organization (ILO) is offering university professors and senior academics the opportunity to spend time as visiting scholars with the Bureau for Workers’ Activities, part of the ILO Social Dialogue Sector.
