Events and meetings

One of ACTRAV’s main events is the bi-annual International Workers’ Symposium. This is a meeting gathering trade unionists and other specialists from all over the world to discuss a given topic.

In addition ACTRAV organizes other events, meetings and workshops, both at headquarters and in the field, focusing on the areas of activities of the bureau.

ACTRAV is at the service of workers representatives as they participate in different meetings at the ILO. Colleagues do also assist in preparing case files that will help worker representatives develop their positions and arguments for the Annual Conference of the ILO, the Governing Body, regional and sectoral conferences and in the Office's various activities.

March 2022

  1. Launch of the Training Manual for workers’ organizations on Dealing with crisis arising from conflicts and disasters

    This panel discussion will provide an opportunity to highlight the importance of social dialogue in matters related to conflicts and disasters by insisting on the role of the ILO, its social partners, and International Labour Standards in crisis situations. It will focus on the key role that workers’ organizations have in this important field.

  1. Symposium on Trade Unions in Times of COVID-19

    This international symposium aims to provide an opportunity for trade union leaders, experts, academics and ILO officials to exchange on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the world of work. Participants will discuss about strategies on how can trade unions shape the policy responses to the COVID-19 and contribute to the implementation of the ILO Global Call to Action for a human-centred recovery from the COVID-19 crisis that is inclusive, sustainable and resilient.
